Pruning Workshop

March and April are an ideal time to prune olive trees and now that the rains have slowed, we're getting ready to start pruning our orchards here at Kiler Ridge.

For those interested in learning about pruning olive trees, Audrey and Cain are offering a 2-hour workshop at the farm (1111 Kiler Canyon Rd, Paso Robles). The first half will cover principles, common problems, and tools; the second half will be demonstration in the orchard.

Workshop date & time:

Wednesday March 25th, 9am to 11am

The cost of the workshop is $15 per person. Please register online. We are limiting the workshop to 25 participants, and will close registration once full.

The workshop will focus on pruning for productivity on orchards that are planted in a medium density system and hand harvested. The workshop will also be applicable to pruning landscape olives. We will not cover pruning techniques for super high-density, machine harvest systems.
